Antoni Gaudí was a Barcelona-based Spanish architect famed for his free-flowing works. This course is inspired by the patterns and textures he used. We will be looking at the unusual shapes used in his buildings and the use of decorative mosaics. A variety of natural fabrics will be pieced, layered, stitched and textured before adding fabric paint. You will then be shown how to work into your design with freehand machine stitching.
